Hello all you wonderful bloggers out there! We are freezing here in AZ with our temps in the low and mid 20′s! I love running but it’s not my idea of fun when you are running in 25 deg temps! I know, we are spoilt
I haven’t run much in the last few weeks, as I’ve been trying to get over a cold/cough that I’ve had. I also lost my voice for a couple days and had a sore throat, so I only ran about 10 miles last week. Not good, but better than nothing! Greg and I have the PF Chang’s Rock ‘n Rock Half Marathon this coming Sunday, January 20th and I definitely won’t be beating any world records. As much as I would love to beat my PR, not sure I can, as have not trained much. I’m winging this one for sure! If I beat my PR, great, if I don’t, that’s also ok. I’ve come to realize, you have some good races and you have some bad ones! One of these days I’m going to run a race completely healthy!
Now onto another topic: We decided to take Whistler on his first roadtrip this last weekend, to a place called “No Where”. We also drove through Prescott. He loves the car and is such a good boy in the car.
This boy is just so precious and has quite the personality on him. His eyes just tell it all
I have my father-in-law visiting us from Chicago for three weeks and we stopped off at a place called ”No Where” - in the one and only bar, with the population of about 7 people.

Well this picture says it all. Whistler said we were bad parents for taking him to a place like this LOL
We finally hit some snow on the outskirts of Prescott. Whistler just loved the snow and we don’t think he had ever experienced it before. He was trying to bite and lick on the ice/snow.
We had fun in the snow ourselves and just loved being out there with Whistler. It was quite the experience for our boy!
It was a pleasureable trip for all of us and one we will definitely do again! Now that we know Whistler enjoys the snow, we will take more road trips up North, for him to play around in the snow.
Took my boys up to Buffalo Chip for a beer…this was Whistler’s first trip to the bar for a beer and no he did not drink any, but he sure wanted to
It was my turn to be with Paps and so took him out for a lunch one day last week. We went to the Grayhawk Country Golf Club, one of my favorite places, as you can sit outside and watch the golfers, enjoy a good meal and do some bird watching!
It was a great week for all
and now time to focus on our upcoming race this weekend..sure wished Whistler was running this one for me, as he so loves to run and oh my, is he fast!
